The Sector Scanner classifies every active US-listed stock into one of 11 sectors: AI, Technology, Oil & Gas, Defense, Healthcare, Finance, Energy, Consumer, Industrial, Real Estate, and Utilities. Classification uses Polygon's SIC codes and company descriptions to accurately assign each ticker to its primary sector. Stocks can appear in multiple sectors when their business spans multiple industries.
Each stock displays its current price and 1-day percentage change sourced from Polygon's market snapshot API, giving you a real-time view of how every stock in a given sector is performing today. Use the search bar to find specific tickers instantly, or browse sector by sector to discover new opportunities.
Signed-in users can download the complete sector ticker list as a formatted Excel file, including ticker symbol, company name, sector classification, current price, and daily change. Download a single sector or all 11 sectors at once. The Excel file is formatted with color-coded gains and losses for easy analysis in any spreadsheet application.
